Experience
I am currently majoring in chemistry at Kean University. I have a strong desire to help both children and adults achieve success through education, which has stoked my interest in working with students as a tutor. I am comfortable tutoring students in a variety of areas, including college English, English grammar and syntax, phonics, and math at both the elementary and middle school level. These are important subject areas for students to master because they often serve as the building blocks for further education. When students have a strong foundation in the fundamentals of a subject area, they are set up for long-term success through education. Additionally, I have experience tutoring in both a group setting and a one on one setting as well as experience working as a caregiver for children between the ages of zero and ten. While reading and visiting museums are among my hobbies, they also help in terms of tutoring because both activities allow me to continually learn new things, which I can then pass on to other students. Overall, my goal as a tutor is to help students through finding easier ways for them to understand the material, boosting their confidence, and providing encouragement.
